CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT: How to deal with (difficult) pupils today?

This five-day training course is aimed at teachers of all kind of schools and support them in their sometimes-frustrating practical daily work at school. Working with pupils and students means that you are competent in managing conflicts, communicating and be able to create human relationships with each member of your class.

During the training participants will learn the practical tools to develop the necessary competences for the educational process with young people: mediation and management of conflicts within groups. The tools are taught in a very practical way with illustrative examples. Especially how to create human relationships will be demonstrated using roll-plays, so that every participant will be able to experience how it works practically. 

The program is based on the latest neurobiological research in the educational work with pupils and students.

Next course will take place in Berlin (De) in July 2014.
Participants can apply for European grant through the Erasmus+ Program (for travel costs to Berlin, accommodation and course fee).

I´LL WORK: Career guidance in schools through the simulation of an economical cycle

This five-day training course is focused on the in-depth analysis of the career guidance measures in schools. Starting from the examination of the German educational system participants will deal with career guidance actions at an European level, understanding how pupils and students make decisions about their professional future and how is effectively possible to help them.

Moreover participants will deal with an innovative action for career guidance: the Project Week (a program run by FIKO in several schools on behalf of the German Federal Employment Agency). The Project Week consists in simulating an economical cycle in schools. Pupils work in several agencies on a main topic and under experts-guidance. The purpose of the program is to make pupils aware of the different jobs, and make them more motivated about their professional future. Participants will learn planning, management, methodology, implementation, pedagogy and with the results of these career guidance actions.

A focus will be given to funding opportunities in Europe, in order to develop and implement new projects both at a local and European level. The course aims to connect school and economy and there will contributions from head teachers and the business world.

Target audience are teachers, staff of educational institution, workers of a vocational training institution both from public and private sector, and those who in their work deal with career guidance actions.

FIT AT WORK: Career guidance and counseling in school

This five-day training course analyzes the role of career guidance as a connection between schools and economy. Starting from the peculiarities of the German school system participants will observe how pupils and students in different European countries deal with the topic, how they take decision about their professional future, and how to support them in this important life decision. The course will give the participants the concrete tools to develop and implement career guidance actions, in order to understand how it is possible to help youngster in taking up a career.

Moreover there will be a focus on the European programs for long-life-learning, vocational guidance and labour mobility, with the purpose to implement new actions at a European level. Contributions and lectures will be given by school head teachers and experts from the Berlin Commerce and Industry Chamber.

Target audience are teachers, staff of educational institution, workers of a vocational training institution both from public and private sector, and those who in their work deal with career guidance actions.
